The bypolls were held on Tuesday, October 6, in Nandigram and Rejinagar in West Bengal, Madurantakam and Dharapuram in Tamil Nadu, Nagaon in Assam and Thattanchavady in Puducherry. Counting of votes in all six constituencies is scheduled for Friday, with the process beginning at 8 am. The results across these six contests, by the end of the day, would provide more than individual winners and losers.
