During Dussehra celebrations in Delhi, a 30-foot cockroach effigy was burned alongside traditional effigies of Ravan. Organizers stated that the effigy symbolized filth and promoted cleanliness in line with health awareness initiatives. Leaders of the Cockroach Janta Party reacted sharply, suggesting the move provided them with free publicity. Delhi minister Kapil Mishra remarked that cockroaches symbolize chaos and filth, reflecting public sentiment.
