India has firmly rejected the European Union’s mention of Jammu and Kashmir in a joint statement with Pakistan. The Ministry of External Affairs stated that those without standing on such matters should refrain from commenting. The UTs of J&K and Ladakh are unequivocally integral parts of India, the government asserted.
